community partnerships in Rwanda, Uganda and Burundi to manage social impact
projects including schools, community farms, electricity lines and more.

Job Summary: The Spark Communications
Manager will be responsible for spearheading Spark’s communications work
including managing the website, donor communications, field reporting, grant
proposals and supporting Spark’s development work. The Communications Officer
will be responsible for coordinating all website and donor updates related to
specific community partners, social media and crowd funding campaigns. The
Communications Manager will receive exceptional on the ground experience, have
a rare opportunity to contribute to the development of a new model for aid, and
liaise with rural communities working across sectors to improve their support
systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather and collect stories and media from the field that
shows Spark’s impact on individual and community levels. - Work closely with all field staff to improve their story
collection skills. - Collect field information for grant applications and
reporting, support on grant writing. - Manage Spark’s social media and website.
- Prospect potential donors and grant opportunities.
- Remotely manage interns supporting on social media and
prospecting. - Manage pipeline of community specific funding
opportunities and all <$15,000 grant applications. - Assist the Executive Director in unique opportunities,
such as school partnerships.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- Do you have a passion for story writing and telling?
- Do you communicate easily with people across varied walks
of life? - Are you competent in online navigation and contact
management platforms? - Do you hold a suitable bachelor’s degree?

tenure with organization and if excels is eager to take on more
responsibility over time? - Have you spent ample time living / working in sub-Saharan
Africa? - Do you have proficiency in timely report completion whilst
achieving targets therein? - Do you have friends or colleagues who would describe you
as passionate and know you are interested in global development? - Are you one that loves challenging job roles?
