Job Summary: The KLEP II Community Development Assistant will facilitate
and ensure increased Household income security among the agro-pastoralists
communities in Kaabong district through the promotion of VSLA/Business skills
support within the project sites.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the identification and selection of
    Youth groups to be supported with food crop processing machines
  • Carry out monitoring visits for VSLA groups in
    Karenga and Kalapata to ensure effective replication of the VSLA
    modality/approach.
  • Build the capacity of youths through trainings
    on start up your business, business skills and data collection on VSLA
    monthly saving profile
  • Generate distribution plans to enhance
    effective service delivery to final end users/beneficiaries.
  • Compile and generate monthly progress report to
    account for the activities undertaken in month.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma in
    Agribusiness, Social Sciences, Business Administration and or Development
    Studies attained from a recognized institution of higher learning /
    tertiary institution.
  • Excellent facilitation skills in SPM of IGA,
    Business Skills, etc.
  • Significant experience in application of VSLA
    methodology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication
    skills.
  • Possess the ability to ride a monitor cycle
    with a valid riding permit
  • Ability to speak/understand Ng’akarimojong language
    is an added advantage.
  • Mature Christian, able to stand above
    denominational diversities
