Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The UHMG Security
Officer will maintain safe and secure environment for organization assets,
staff, visitors and customers, by installing security requirements,
patrolling and monitoring of the installations, carrying out checks and
providing overall guidance of order of entry and exit to persons and
vehicle. - The job holder will
coordinate security matters with management, sourced security firm at the
premise and the public security organs as per the needs and the
procedures. - The role bearer will
support management in upholding the policies and oversee the compliance of
all security guidelines and act as point of reference for security
communications and reporting to management. - Takes responsibility
of staff security, self and stocks and assets of the organization by
exercising measures and implementing security procedures for maximum
security output - Runs random checks, patrols
and monitoring of and around building, equipment, and access points;
permitting entry and holding rights of exit and entry based on security
needs at hand - Takes lead and
initiatives in communicating, coordinating and reporting security matters
to authority and staff in a timely and effect manner - Prevents losses and
damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and
procedures; restraining trespassers. - Be steadfast with and
in defense of the territory, image, life, assets of the organization at
all times
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should
possess a Diploma and additional training in handling security in a
workplace setting. - Computer literacy
skills with hands-on experience in warehousing, stores, distribution and
software packages to manage inventory and stock movement electronically is
a must. - Holder of security
license and or certificate to practice as security personnel will be
highly preferred.
A minimum of three years’ relevant work experience in security
organizations. - Robust understanding
of stores, warehouses rules and procedures, security matters, and human
rights and the laws of the land. - Clean track records
with references of previously managed operations and stores. - Highly responsive,
expertise in managing emergencies and confusing situations. Exemplary
honesty, with a high level of energy and integrity, and with ability to
exhibit objectivity and empathy
