- The Research Associate will lend a hand in the implementation and impact assessment of CIP project activities in the SSA in, among others:
- Conducting monitoring and evaluation; designing and implementing household and market surveys;
- The applicant will also be responsible for the entry, cleaning and analysis of large socioeconomic datasets; reviewing literature; and drafting scientific reports, conference papers, journal articles and policy briefs.
- The ideal candidate should hold a M.Sc. degree in economics, agricultural economics or applied economics with strong quantitative skills (i.e., mathematics, econometrics, and statistics), research methods;
- Fluency in CS Pro, SPSS, and STATA; excellent teamwork, supervision, oral and writing skills; and ability to work in multicultural/multidisciplinary environments.
- A minimum of two years’ work experience in similar positions and experience in: value chain analysis; conducting monitoring and evaluation; designing household and market surveys; coordinating and supervising data collection under different socio-cultural environments; analysis of complex single and panel datasets in SPSS and/ or STATA); and preparation of scientific reports and papers (as evidenced by publications).
