Job Summary: The Driver will provide Transport Services, Administrative and Other Logistical Support to Staff and Stakeholders in line with the AAU Policies and Procedures
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive staff, visitors, partners and other stakeholders to and from various destinations as per AAIU policies and procedures
- Maintaining vehicles, generators and motor cycles in clean and good mechanical conditions in line with AAIU policies
- Pick, deliver and account for all correspondences (mails, messages, parcels etc) in line with instructions and known office practice
- Offer support to staff and other stakeholders in the field; photo up date and child message collection and deliveries as per their work plan and procedures
- Plan and budget for the vehicle and provide other logistical support and prepare periodic accountabilities
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold an A-level certificate (UACE) or its equivalent, Training in; Defensive Driving, Basic computer skills;
- Training in Basic Financial and Logistics Management is an added advantage.
- At least three to five years’ driving experience with government/NGOS
- Good knowledge of Traffic rules and regulations
- Knowledge of rural communities
- Problem Sensitivity: Ability to analyze issues and identify problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, Luo and any other Local Language/s
