- Building and maintaining up-to-date intelligence of the activities of competition.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of both existing customers and target customer segments.
- Developing and managing on-going research activities aimed at providing commercial insights that can support customer propositions.
- Co-ordinating and overseeing all primary research activities including focus groups, telemarketing, usability studies, one-to-one interviews, web-based surveys and mail intercepts.
- In charge for sourcing, analysing and summarising secondary data on an on-going basis.
- Pro-actively seeking information on competitive actions and conducting research to maintain up-to-date competitive intelligence in order to retain a central resource for all such competitive information including product offerings, promotions, sales tactics, target markets, market penetration and pricing.
- Conduct analysis of customer data and transforming that data into outputs that explain customer behaviour and provide actionable insights.
- Gathering and synthesising data; drawing insights from primary and secondary sources and identifying and delivering the most effective formats for communicating all research insights and recommendations to the management team.
- The applicant should possess a good University degree in Business Administration, Communications or Marketing; other degree holders with supplemental commercial education (MBA or Advanced Marketing Degree) will also be considered.
- Three or more years’ experience in Marketing or a similar position.
- High level of innovation expertise.
- Ability to work with, and guide marketing agencies.
- Highly proficient in all MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database experience.
- Good written and oral English language skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities with tight timelines from conception through execution.
- Ability to communicate with and manage virtual teams from all areas of the company including technical, financial, sales and other marketing functions.
- Willingness to work long hours as and when required.
- Possess the ability to think strategically and also execute hands-on tactical solutions.
- Prior experience of working in a fast-paced commercial environment.
