Job Summary: The Supply Data
Encoder will be primarily responsible for updating and maintaining information
on supply database (Logistics) and archiving.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Import orders from supported missions and
    encode orders for UG mission into Logistics database
  • Routinely update the price of items on Order
    request confirmation into the supply database
  • Change the status of orders according to MSF
    supply procedures
  • Technically Interacting with Procurement
    Officer, Warehouse Manager and Transport Officers in order to apply MSF
    supply chain management and data encoding procedures
  • Update and back up of the SUKA Database on
    daily basis.
  • Filling and archiving according to the MSF
    procedure.
Qualifications, Skills
and Experience:
  • The applicant should possess a diploma in Procurement
    Management, Data management or Computer Science.
  • Prior work experience with Logistics or in the
    procurement department and data management will be highly appreciated
  • Extensive knowledge of Procurement management
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in
    the Use of Microsoft Office (Excel windows 7).
  • Possess the ability to learn quickly and to
    work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment, good
    communication skills, initiative, open-minded.
  • Ability to summarise, and to work
    independently, good stress management, flexibility, resourcefulness.
  • High degree of honesty
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Possess the ability to prioritise,
    self-sufficiency, good communication.
Language proficiency: Fluency in English. French a plus but not
mandatory + National language (Luganda, etc…)
