Parliament; The Uganda National Authority Act, No. 15 of 2006. UNRA became
operational on 1st July 2008. The
mandate of UNRA is to develop and maintain the national roads network, advise
Government on general roads policy and contribute to addressing of transport
concerns, among others.

other authorized passengers, equipment and materials for vehicles. The
performance of the job holder is reflected in his /her safety record, the
satisfaction of passengers and the condition of the vehicles driven.
Responsibilities:
- Drives PMU’s vehicles according to Uganda
Laws and Project’s Guidelines; - Completes logbooks and other relevant
documentation correctly and promptly; - Performs daily and weekly vehicle checks
in relation to fuel, water, and minor repairs if feasible; - Carries out full inspection of the vehicle
on return from a long journey; - Keeps the vehicle clean and tidy;
- Reports incidents and accidents without
delay; - Makes sure that regular servicing
intervals are not missed; - Ensures vehicle security and safety;
- Delivers mail, equipment, materials and
transports personnel as may be required; - Performs such other related duties as may
be assigned from time to time.
Experience:
- The applicant should possess at least an
Ordinary Certificate of Education with a valid driving license of classes
B,CM, CH and DL in any combination of at least two of the mentioned
classes - A minimum of seven years’ driving
experience with a proven clean driving record - Working fluency in both spoken and written
English.
