Road Fund Act 2008 to finance the routine and periodic maintenance of public
roads. URF strives to provide effective and sustainable financing of
maintenance for public roads, build partnerships with stakeholders and serve
with uttermost integrity.
Disposal Unit Assistant will support the Head Procuring and Disposal Unit in
the running of all procurement and disposal functions of the fund.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the
production of the Fund’s Annual Procurement and Disposals Plan; - Assists in Monitoring
the Fund’s procurement plan against the budget; - Advise Fund staff on
procurement issues; - Prepare procurement
documentation in full compliance with the PPDA and Donor Regulations, as
the case may be; - Actively facilitate
the publication and display of procurement notices; - Assist with the
management of pre-bid meetings, bid closings and bid openings; - Assist in the
preparation of contract and bid documents, advertisements, issuing bid
documents and approved contract documents; - Support in the
appointment of evaluation committees and management of the evaluation
process; - Technically support
the functioning of the Contracts Committee, and implementation of its
decisions; - Assist with the
compilation of monthly and other reports required by the PPDA and the
Contracts Committee; - Assist in the
maintaining and archiving of records of the procurement and disposal
process; - Prepare and submit other
regular and ad hoc reports for the Head Procuring and Disposal Unit, as
required. - Maintain up-to-date
procurement files and other records; - Perform such other
related duties as may be assigned by the Head Procuring and Disposal Unit
from time to time.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate
should possess an Honour’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain
Management or Business Administration, Economics, Finance or any business
related field, with a Postgraduate certification in Procurement; - At least three years’
experience in a reputable organization in the public sector; - Possess detailed
understanding and knowledge of, and experience with the PPDA law and
regulations; - High integrity and
strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills and be self-driven.
