- Identify new areas in your region for BBOXX to expand into
- Identify HR and infrastructure needs of assigned region and develop long-term plan, in cooperation with the Expansion Officer
- Identify key revenue drivers for BXCU and ensure implementations to generate growth
- Review targets (both pay plan and wholesale) on a monthly basis and give target recommendations to HQ based on the socio-economic situation of the region
- Intuitively establish Hubs and Shops in your assigned region in collaboration with the Expansions Officer
- Set objectives for, and assess individual performance of, Hub Managers
- Plan for the recruitment and retention of employees, conduct effective inductions for new starters and put in place processes for prompt replacement of leavers to meet business requirements
- Intuitively coordinate training and coaching of Hub staff, in collaboration with the Head of HR & Training (based at HQ)
- Designing and delivering on budget agreed with HQ
- Develop, implement and periodically review the sales and marketing strategy for BXCU in your assigned region, making any adjustments in collaboration with Country Sales Manager
- Establish BBOXX in new areas of the assigned region, setting up Hubs and the first 4-5 shops around each (including staff)
- Work closely with regional third parties to raise awareness raising and marketing such as government agencies, educational institutions, NGOs, agricultural cooperatives, and other relevant groups
- Report on performance of your region to Managing Director in a timely and accurate manner
- The candidate should hold a good Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, energy, or related field
- At least two years’ experience in sales/distribution for a fast-paced service company
- Sales driven, but with an eye toward overall business performance
- Good leadership skills yet able to work in a team
- Highly self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent reporting skills and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to details
- Computer literacy skills i.e. proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and emails
- Fast and flexible thinker
- Possess a valid driving permit
- Field experience; previous work and so knowledge of rural Uganda will be highly desirable
- Working knowledge of other regional languages spoken in Uganda
- Good empathy skills a plus
- Past exposure and experience working with solar; specifically solar home systems and added advantage
- Language proficiency i.e. excellent in both spoken and written English
- Fluent in Luganda
