Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the coordination
of office and District store
security
- Coordinate, update, and
maintain the tracking database for new and existing inventory including
asset identification tagging, location identification, physical count, and
departmental equipment custodians. - Carry out periodical and
annual fixed assets physical inventories, and coordinate assets physical
inventories - Coordinate transfer of
equipment and update the inventory list with each transfer. - Offer technical guidance
and assistance with the implementation of processes in relation to fixed
assets safeguarding. - Supply information for
inventory reports as well as other assets reports and records. - Provide cross training to
relevant staff in relation to fixed asset processes and procedures as
required. - Offer technical support
for major and/or urgent problems with LAN or any of its components (server
crash, virus attack, hard drive failure, etc.) - Provide on-call
assistance to individuals as needed. - Perform Window Server
maintenance and administration, including installing Windows 2003 patches
and upgrades (Service Packs); - Monitoring server logs
and perform necessary operations the ensure the proper state of the
systems; - Responsible for monitoring
of the Antivirus software and applying updates - Perform File Server
backup, weekly full backup, daily incremental on file server, monthly
backups of file server and users data - In charge of monitoring
site firewall, managing VPN accounts, if any, monitor File Server; Group
Policy, NTFS permissions, EFS LAN Administration: creating and modifying
user accounts and privileges/rights (for network and exchange); managing
disk space, printer queues, and internet connection; and updating
anti-virus software and definition files. - Perform desktop and
laptop computer support, including performing routine preventive
maintenance (disk scan, deleting temp files, defragmentation, etc.);
installing software patches and upgrades, troubleshooting hardware or
software problems; and ensuring users are backing up their data files on
the server. - Monthly conference call
with International IT Management.
Review monthly activity, articulate and implement Action Plans
relating to identified IT needs. - Conduct hardware
troubleshooting, including identifying hardware failure for all hardware
warranties; - Coordinating with
hardware vendors/manufacturers for the prompt replacement of any defective
components and working with the Project internet service to solve any
problems accessing the internet and/or sending and receiving email
- Collecting and collating
data from the field - Coordinating data collection
and management in the field - Ensuring daily entry of
spray information from the field into the database
Skills and Experience:
- The ideal Abt candidate
should hold a two-year post-secondary school technical diploma or
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. - At least four to five years’
experience in IT network administration in small/medium Windows 2000/3
environments, including Internet access support. - A minimum of two years’
professional experience in Inventory Management - Possess excellent interpersonal
and communication skills, flexibility, able team player, self-directed and
ability to pay attention to detail. - Fluent in English (oral
and written) - Professional MCSE
certification a plus. - Past exposure and experience
with Windows Sharepoint Services a plus - Technical eloquence in Active
Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policies, Windows 2000/2003 server, Windows XP
professional, software and basic hardware troubleshooting skills,
networking; - Ability to assess problems
and develop solutions. - Excellent inter-personal
communication skills and excellent organization skills. - Preference for candidates
who have experience that relates to USAID or other donor USAID experience
and knowledge of FARs and AIDARs is highly desirable.
