competent, innovative and results oriented persons for employment on a contract

Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in
the drawing and implementation of Centre medical work plans and budget. - Triage all clients coming
to the clinic - Offer information to
clients, aimed at reducing their vulnerability to diseases and infections
through health education. - Conduct nursing
techniques and procedures as requested and prescribed by the doctors and
clinicians - Actively monitor patient
flow and, in the case of patient overflow, assists in preparation of
examination rooms, preparation of patients for exam, and taking of vital
signs of patients - Prescribe drugs when
necessary - Offer technical support
in the dispensing of drugs and other medical items according to prescription
and maintain records - Participate in HIV/AIDS
awareness and sensitizations in the communities - Conduct training of
health workers from communities and other institutions - Maintain client records
at the clinic - Participate in general
and medical staff meetings as required. - Perform all duties and
services in full compliance with set national and international standards
and procedures
Areas:
- Ensure nursing care that
meets national, international and TASO standards received by all TASO
clients - Clients attended to in a
timely manner - Client knowledge on
HIV/AIDS care improved
Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold
a good diploma in Comprehensive Nursing / Nursing Training in Counselling
and Training in HIV/AIDS care and support - At least two years’
experience in clinical nursing services - High degree of Integrity,
Empathy, Patience, Confidentiality - Possess the ability to
work under mental and physical stress
