Job Summary: The Technician will be managing sites and ensuring site availability in the range of 99.97% to 100% as agreed in the Service level agreements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct preventive and predictive of sites by fuelling, servicing, repairing as per the standard operating schedule.
  • Attend to TTs on call from the control room immediately and ensure the fault is rectified.
  • Conduct predictive or emergency repair and replacement of parts to minimize down time.
  • Responsible for complete maintenance and repair log cards
  • Routinely communicate the daily loop schedule to the control room operators.
  • Ascertain that generators, Genset rooms and ACs are clean at all times.
  • Ensure all systems on the site i.e. Mechanical and Electrical are in good working condition and report any malfunction to the Field Operations Manager.
  • Compile and prepare monthly requirements of spares, consumables and submit to the Field Operations Manager at least 2 weeks before the due date.
  • Prepare monthly petty cash requirements and send to the Field Operations Manager by the 20th of each month.
  • Prepare a monthly accountability of parts and consumables used and submit it to the Field Operations Manager before replenishment of more consumables.
  • Maintain and secure work tools, keys, fuel cards, consumables, accessories and report to the person in charge immediately in case of any loss or damage.
  • Ensure that the generator is serviced as planned and on schedule.
  • Ensure that the driver cooperates and assists in the field operations.
  • Prepare reports of work done and fuel delivered at sites and sends it to control room.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates should preferably hold bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • A minimum of two years practical experience in a similar job role.
