Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Supporting Access to Justice, Fostering Equity & Peace (SAFE) Program
assistance, training and technology to advance justice systems in the 50 U.S.
states and around the world. Founded more than 40 years ago by the leaders of
the U.S. courts to deliver on the promise of Equal Justice under Law, NCSC
partners with donor agencies, host-country governments, and non-governmental
organizations to create more effective justice institutions and promote the
Rule of Law. The National Center for State Courts (NCSC) is seeking
qualified Ugandan citizens to fill the below positions for the “Supporting
Access to Justice, Fostering Equity & Peace” (SAFE Program) funded by
USAID. USAID-SAFE is a five-year development Program that seeks to strengthen
the Government of Uganda’s capacity with respect to peace building and conflict
mitigation.
- Proactively coordinate
grantee performance evaluation and reporting, including collecting
performance progress data and maintaining supporting documentation for
performance achievements, in compliance with USAID requirements. - Prepare, in
coordination with the project Technical Teams and Learning Advisor,
grantee performance monitoring plan, and periodic reports required by NCSC
and USAID, including quarterly and annual progress report. - Carry out and monitor
training in areas relevant to reporting, monitoring, and evaluation
grantees. - Proactively coordinate
with M&E and Learning Advisor to provide technical input in grants
program design and implementation, as needed, to ensure monitoring and
evaluation are adequately taken into account. - Responsible for
conducting monitoring and evaluation of Program grantees to ensure
achievement towards SAFE Program indicators. - Attend, participate
in, and/or report on formal and informal meetings with grantees,
host-country and international counterparts, including relevant
donor-funded projects. - Perform any other
related duties, as assigned by the M&E Learning Advisor.
- The ideal USAID SAFE
Project employee should possess a University degree in political science,
sociology, social sciences or related field. - A minimum of four
years’ experience as a Grants Reporting officer or similar position
working on access to justice, legal aid or conflict mitigation in Uganda. - Good understanding and
knowledge of measurement and statistics for social sciences,
administration and analysis of opinion survey data. - Detailed knowledge and
experience working under USAID technical and financial reporting
requirements preferred. - Possess the ability to
write reports and informational materials - Commitment to ethics,
transparency and accountability in program implementation - Computer literacy
