for ensuring internal controls and processes are being adhered to, working
closely with the various functions of the business and being a team player.
Responsibilities:
- Involvement with budgets, forecasts and
cash flows - Preparation of monthly management accounts
to trial balance prepared within set deadlines - Involvement with the production of
statutory financial statements - Maintenance of finance ledgers, accounts
payable/receivable and payroll in a timely manner - Maintenance of accounting processes and
controls - Comply with regulations and completion of
VAT and payroll returns - Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Maintenance of the asset register
- Petty Cash management
- Preparing ad hoc reports and analysis
- Submission of financial donor Reports
- Liaising with non-finance staff on
financial issues - Act as the company Secretary
Experience:
- The prospective candidate must possess a
good University degree or studying towards an accountancy qualification - Past exposure and experience in
bookkeeping or general accounting - A minimum of five years’ working
experience - Excellent analytical and internal control
skills - Team player
- Good communication skills
- Accurate with adherence to deadlines
- Strong excel skills
- Experience with Quick books an advantage
