Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- The Quantity Surveyor
will be preparing bills of quantities, documents and costing all civil
engineering projects. - Developing cost estimates
for different projects find making work plans and budgets and work
programme for engineering projects. - Conducting valuation of
works and variations and preparation of interim certificates and final
accounts for engineering projects (new projects and renovation works) - Providing technical input
on operational matters. - Supporting in the
preparation, analysis and checking quantities for building works. - Prepare contracts for
construction and consultancy services. - Participating in
construction site meetings and preparing reports - Collection of information
for certifying payment certificates. - Conduct any other duties
as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience: The candidates for the
aforementioned career Opportunity must be Ugandans holding Honours Bachelor’s
Degrees in Quantity Surveying from a recognized Universities / Institutions.

undergo a twelve (12) months Cadet Officers’ Course at the Prisons Training
School and Staff College plus three (3) months attachment. Appointment as Cadet
Assistant Superintendent of Prisons will only be effective after successful

Cadet Officers in scientific and professional fields
must be prepared to work in a Penal Institution on General Duties for at least
two (2) years before deployment to their respective stations of specialization.
