• Teach at undergraduate and graduate level
  in areas allocated by the Dean of Faculty.
• Actively engage with the broader scholarly
  and professional communities.
• Supervise or assist with supervision of
  undergraduate and graduate (Masters) students.
• Significantly contribute to the
  development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
• Support the development of learning
  materials and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement
  and attendance.
• Actively participate in departmental and
  faculty seminars aimed at sharing research outcomes and building
  interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.
• Participate in the development,
  administration and marking of exams and other assessments.
• Offer pastoral care and support to
  students.
• Take part in the administration of the
  department’s programmes of study and other activities as requested.
• Significantly contribute to departmental,
  faculty, wide working groups or committees as requested.
• Maintain own continuing professional
  development.

• The applicant should hold a Masters degree
  in agribusiness, agricultural economics, management, agriculture,
  horticulture or crop/plant science from a recognized institution.
• Ideally, he/she must have attained a
  Bachelors degree in Agricultural science or related fields
• At least two years teaching experience at
  University level; evidence of ability to teach and supervise academic work
  by undergraduates and postgraduate students.
• Certificates in animal husbandry an added
  advantage.
• At least three years’ experience in
  agricultural production and marketing or working with/ training farmers.
• Strong preference will be given to
  candidates with ability to teach other related courses like sustainable
  agriculture, agricultural extension and Masters of Agriculture in crop
  science and/or animal science and /or agricultural economics.
