Imperial Bank was founded in Kenya in 1993 as a Finance and Securities
Company. The bank converted into a fully
fledged commercial bank in January 1996. Since then it has had a long standing
tradition of achieving strong financial performance while successfully focusing
on efficient client service delivery.
Imperial Bank has also been on an aggressive expansion strategy as is
witnessed with the opening of the Uganda subsidiary in February this year. The bank which has 16 branches in Kenya has just
opened its 2nd branch in Kampala at the Mukwano mall on Kyaggwe road.

Job Summary: The Branch
Manager will oversee, direct, control and supervise the operations activities
of the assigned branch to ensure that the service and experience rendered to customers
is prompt and efficient without compromising controls. The incumbent is
expected to steer branch profitability and growth process, taking into account
the bank’s policies, procedures and future plans.

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate
should have a Bachelor’s degree in business related field such as
Commerce, Finance, Economics or Business Administration - An associate in
banking is an added advantage - Additional training in
Risk. Core Banking Systems is also highly desirable - The candidate must
preferably have a minimum of five years’ experience within Back Office or
Branch operations, 2 of which should be in a Senior Branch Operations Role
or Assistant Manager role. - Good working knowledge
of the Ugandan banking environment with sound knowledge of operational
trends in the financial services industry (including; Risk, AML and Audit
Management and Compliance issues). - Computer literacy
skills i.e. proficiency – MS Office and other core banking systems. - Excellent
Communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, report writing
skills. - Good leadership
skills. - Be a team player.
