- Organizing and carrying out all data inputs activities including digitization;
- Organizing and managing the database of information collected;
- Storing and retrieving all data sets held in the database;
- Performing analyses as required by each individual program, project or activity;
- Preparing and updating data catalogues;
- Preparing out puts as required by each individual program, project or activity
- Ensuring all equipment for the GIS remote sensing laboratory are properly kept;
- Keeping proper records of all GIS/RS laboratory equipment and materials;
- Controlling the use of the GIS/RS facilities by ensuring that only authorized persons use the facilities;
- Perform any other relevant responsibilities as may be assigned.
- The ideal applicant for the aforementioned GIS Opportunity must hold a Master’s degree in Environment related disciplines;
- Five or more years’ working experience with the use of GIS preferably ArcGIS;
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of working with Geo databases and data base applications.
- Possess the capacity to work with minimum supervision
