Job Title: Cost Accountant

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Weekly finished products costing
  • In charge of Inventory management – updating the ERP with the latest unit cost for each inventory item and making adjustments to inventory units when need arises e.g. after stock takes or when variance is identified.
  • Responsible for Fixed assets management – ensuring, on a monthly basis, that the fixed assets module is updating with correct values of fixed assets i.e. disposal, additions, depreciation, impairment charges.
  • Project appraisal – establish Net Present Value, Payback period, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and other key ratios for project evaluation.
  • Preparation of Management Information System (MIS) reports on a daily basis.
  • Reconciliation of overseas supplier accounts.
  • Perform any other duties normally assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The Roofings Group Cost Accountant should possess a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting or any related business course.
  • At least 2-3 years relevant experience preferably but restricted to steel products (manufacturing setting).
  • Full professional accounting qualification or part qualified in CIMA, ACCA or CPA.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in using computerized accounting and high levels of proficiency using spreadsheets.
  • Past experience working with Oracle based ERP is an added advantage.
  • Possess the ability to prioritize objectives, duties and to work independently
