About CBC:
NFT Consults seeks to recruit for its valuable client, Century Bottling
Company Limited is a Franchise Bottler and distributor of Coca Cola Products in
Uganda. Century Bottling Company therefore seeks to recruit a highly competent
and self-driven Sales and Marketing Manager. The landlocked East African
country, Uganda, is home to the highest mountain range in Africa (the Rwenzoris
or ‘Mountains of the Moon’) and is the source of the mighty Nile. It also has
the world’s highest concentration of primates, including the majestic mountain
gorilla. Uganda is bordered by Kenya, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the
Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania. Coca-Cola Sabco (CCS) secured Century Bottling Company
Limited (CBC) in 1995.CBC has two plants, one in Mbarara and one in Namanve,
Kampala, which has since set new standards for bottling operations in Uganda.
CBC has 664 employees.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Achieve Sales Volume Targets for all
    Distributors in designated area.
  • In charge of conducting all promotions,
    under areas of control.
  • Build, maintain and grow business
    relationships; work seamlessly with Official Coca- Cola Distributor (OCCD)
    operators.(3rd party)
  • Motivate and manage Area Sales Managers
    and Accounts Developers.
  • Execute Market Development Projects to
    achieve business plan goals / objectives.
  • Train & coach Area Sales Managers,
    Accounts Developers & OCCD salesmen to maximize trade execution.
  • Assist in the design of Route to Market
    Distribution to maximize Sales opportunities.
  • Consistently achieve all customer
    satisfaction and Market Execution Key Business Initiatives.
  • Operational Expenditure management via
    SAP.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should possess a good
    bachelor’s Degree with a bias in Marketing or Business Management or
    related field.
  • Experience leading a sales team for at
    least three to five years in an FMCG business environment.
  • Proactive attitude, highly flexible,
    ability to analyze and articulate sales and marketing issues.
  • Ability to work with/ and improve a
    variety of software platforms and technologies.
  • Excellent oral, written communication,
    negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use Excel and PowerPoint at an
    intermediate level.
  • Possess the ability to address public
    & media when required.
