Job Summary: The Barclays At Work Relationship Credit
Manager will be charged with proactively increasing BAW market share by
increasing the number of key accounts under management and building
relationships with Corporate and SME customers in order to provide Group Schemes
to their employees.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sales
and Relationship Management:

- On an annual
basis, agree targets with the Head of BAW. - Monitor
personal performance on monthly basis and provide feedback to the Head BAW
on progress made. - Sell new
schemes/ payroll. - Make certain
that the implementation and activation of new group schemes by presenting
retail products to companies by influencing the key decision makers. - Identify
cross-selling opportunities for the sales team. - Offer the
necessary information and statistics pertaining to sales activities. - Foster a team
approach by actively building strong working relationships with the
Regional Manager/s, Head of SME, Head of Affluent, Heads and Relationship
Managers in Corporate & Commercial and branches in the country. - Proactively
sell the BAW value proposition to new and existing customers. Customer
types include Corporate, SME, Government agencies, NGO’s. The customer
interface is normally with the Finance Director or Head of Human
Resources. - Set up
meetings with key contacts at identified companies according to the
calling programme agreed with the Head BAW. Ensure that all calls are
conducted as required and submit call reports after each event detailing
the agenda and outcome of the calls. - Carry out
presentations on bank days in order to increase sales . - Provide input
to the recommendation for the initiation or cancellation of Group Scheme
arrangements when required. - Coordinate
the sales activity by ensuring new schemes are passed to the sales team
for sales activities.
2. Customer Service:
- Ensure that
queries received from the customer organizations are dealt with
efficiently and that all queries and complaints are logged and to the
Retail Service Head. - Maintain a
visible and active presence in the local market to establish new
relationships and to support existing relationships.
3. Governance /Control:
- Collect all
documentation from the organization for the Group Scheme to be set up. - Ensure that
documentation is complete prior to submission to operations for
processing. - When
required, interface with in–country Credit and Legal with regards to Group
Scheme documentation requirements for specific customers.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant
must have hold an Advanced Level Certificate or equivalent with good pass
in Mathematics and English - A minimum of
two years experience in a sales or key account relationship management
role at a business to business level - Possession of
a Bachelors Degree in sales or marketing will be an added advantage - Some
experience in banking is highly preferred - Detailed
knowledge of all Barclays product that are on offer on a scheme basis,
including pricing Knowledge. - Detailed
working knowledge of policies and procedures governing the processing of Group
Schemes. - Knowledge of
Basic Legal and credit skills. - Thorough
understanding of the financial services industry. - Demonstrated
sales track record in financial services industry. - Thorough
understanding of Barclays Bank’s segmentation framework and value propositions. - Relationship
building and networking skills - Good problem
solving and analytical skills - Time
management Skills - Good
presentation skills - Influencing
and negotiation skills - Excellent
communication skills (verbal and written) - Computer
literacy skills i.e. Microsoft Office
