Job Summary: The Equity Bank Relationship Manager will technically support all business activities and initiatives that will further the achievement of business objectives of the assigned sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Support the planning and implementation of financial and business growth goals of the sector.
  • Identify business opportunities and support branches to convert them into meaningful business relationships.
  • Actively support credit proposal preparation for branches and guide branches on credit structuring and underwriting process.
  • Intuitively analyse credit proposal financial information for review by the Sector Head.
  • Follow through and/or resolve customer service issues, and ensure excellent service to the customers in his/her portfolio;
  • Build, grow and maintain strong customer relationships within the assigned sector in liaison with the Sector Head.
  • Compile, prepare and send portfolio monitoring reports, and other appropriate reports.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the aforementioned banking job should hold a first degree preferably in a business discipline – including Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Commerce or any numeric course
  • Possession of relevant post graduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Professional courses in Banking, Credit Management, Accounting or Finance will be an added advantage.
  • Three or more years’ cognate experience in Client Relationship Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, particularly relational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills
  • High degree of integrity and influencing skills.
  • Excellent financial management skills and decision making skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
