About World Venture:
World Venture in Uganda, Uganda Venture, seeks to strengthen and enlarge the church of Jesus Christ as they minister holistically to children, youth, and adults, to those of minority groups, and to the disenfranchised, in partnership with the Baptist Union of Uganda and other local churches, through formal and informal education in leadership training and through strategic relationships. They do this envisaging creative, vibrant, and reproducing churches composed of mature believers of integrity, equipped through holistic training, who are committed to building strong family units, mentoring others, and impacting the circles in which they move in positive and profound ways.
Job Summary: World Venture desires that the people of Uganda become well-educated and contributing citizens of integrity, godly family members, and globally-focused church leaders, in order to impact all sectors of society and the world for the glory of God. This will be realized through academic, vocational, and spiritual training of excellence. The Research Analyst will be analyzing programs and projects focusing on outcomes to help WorldVenture, the church and others be better servants of Christ, building his kingdom more effectively and efficiently.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sequentially: Learn language and culture (depending on time commitment).
- Develop appropriate and effective research techniques. Implement studies and make recommendations.
- Work with a team of other missionaries and committed nationals to deliver spiritual and physical care.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the World Venture Opportunity must hold an MA in research or statistics, PhD possible.
- Significant experience will be highly advantageous.
- Be highly compassionate, excellent coaching ability, team work.
- You would need to connect into the Ugandan mental health networks and would need to be a self-starter.
- There is only a very limited expatriate involvement.
