Resources Manager (HR Manager) will support PAE’s Africa Programs from Kampala,
Uganda.
The HR Manager will:
- Partner with management to develop,
implement, and document program specific people programs, policies,
processes, and systems. - Offering guidance in areas that address
business issues related to development, engagement and retention. - Support the managers with performance
management issues and the creation and implementation of performance
improvement plans, processes and systems. - Ensure compliance with company policies
and procedures, and governmental regulations - Develop and execute highly effective,
results-driven strategies to recruit and select qualified candidates - Assist with the acquisition of local
labor. - Maintain local employee files, and help
ensure compliance with various national labor laws. - Manage Employee Relations activities for a
large and diverse work force, to include partnering with management to
solve employee relations issues, investigating and resolving workplace
concerns, writing reports, drafting follow up correspondence, managing and
delivering manager training and coaching sessions, and facilitating
meetings and discussions. - Perform any other duties as required.
Experience:
- The Human Resource Manager should ideally
hold a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is required, PHR
certification is a plus. - At least two years of hands-on recruiting
experience is required. - A minimum of three’ years of HR Generalist
experience and experience working with third country nationals required. - Past experience hiring local labor in
developing nations is preferred. - Strong change management skills are
required. - Practical experience managing employee
relations, solid knowledge of employment law, and performance management
skills are required. - Strong analytical, verbal, and written
communication skills are required. - Knowledge/Experience with HR systems is
required. - Experience in Africa is preferred.
- Willingness to work and live in remote and
austere conditions is required.
