impartiality, and non discrimination. ACTED was created in 1993 to support
populations affected by the conflict in Afghanistan. Based in Paris, France,
ACTED now operates in 32 countries worldwide, with over 200 international and
4000 national staff. ACTED has a 110 million € budget for over 370 projects spanning
8 sectors of intervention; including emergency relief, food security, health
promotion, economic development, education & training, microfinance, local

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Offer technical direction and oversight from
    project implementation through life cycle duration
  • Supervision of all program technical team.
  • Develop maintain, and sustain strong
    relationship with all relevant stakeholders and project teams
  • Steer the implementation of the project and
    all relevant follow up
  • Manage project finances, pipelines and
    planning
  • Liaise with all internal and external
    counterparts on the project;
  • Assess the activities undertaken and ensure
    efficient use of resources;
  • Establish clear timeline of reports to be
    submitted to project Donors;
  • Responsible for all donor reporting
  • Draft narrative reports and contribute to the
    development of financial reports through regular budgetary follow up;
  • Ensure adherence to ACTED processes and
    procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with contractual
    obligations and achievement of project scope of work and financial goals 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate should possess a Master’s degree in civil engineering,
    economics or social science discipline
  • Five
    or more years’ experience in managing large complex infrastructure
    programs preferably within an African context
  • Demonstrated
    ability to quickly and effectively assemble and manage a highly-skilled,
    interdisciplinary team; ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate
    with and lead a broad range of governmental and non-governmental actors;
    the ability to manage high-profile and politically sensitive programs.
  • Possess
    the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects and ensure
    completion of requisite milestones within established deadlines;
  • Excellent
    organizational, interpersonal and project management skills
  • Possess
    an excellent track record in managing large teams effectively
  • Strong
    communications and interpersonal skills with evidence of ability to
    interact with a wide range and level of stakeholders (government, private
    sector, NGOs).
  • Past
    experience leading collaborative efforts with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated
    ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent
    conceptual, analytical and writing skills
  • Excellent
    oral I written communication skills
  • Excellent
    Report writing skills
  • Highly
    proficient in English.
Job Terms and Conditions:
Salary defined by the ACTED
salary grid; educational level, expertise, hardship, security, and performance
are considered for pay bonus
