Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offer technical direction and oversight from
project implementation through life cycle duration - Supervision of all program technical team.
- Develop maintain, and sustain strong
relationship with all relevant stakeholders and project teams - Steer the implementation of the project and
all relevant follow up - Manage project finances, pipelines and
planning - Liaise with all internal and external
counterparts on the project; - Assess the activities undertaken and ensure
efficient use of resources; - Establish clear timeline of reports to be
submitted to project Donors; - Responsible for all donor reporting
- Draft narrative reports and contribute to the
development of financial reports through regular budgetary follow up; - Ensure adherence to ACTED processes and
procedures. - Ensures compliance with contractual
obligations and achievement of project scope of work and financial goals
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate should possess a Master’s degree in civil engineering,
economics or social science discipline - Five
or more years’ experience in managing large complex infrastructure
programs preferably within an African context - Demonstrated
ability to quickly and effectively assemble and manage a highly-skilled,
interdisciplinary team; ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate
with and lead a broad range of governmental and non-governmental actors;
the ability to manage high-profile and politically sensitive programs. - Possess
the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects and ensure
completion of requisite milestones within established deadlines; - Excellent
organizational, interpersonal and project management skills - Possess
an excellent track record in managing large teams effectively - Strong
communications and interpersonal skills with evidence of ability to
interact with a wide range and level of stakeholders (government, private
sector, NGOs). - Past
experience leading collaborative efforts with multiple stakeholders - Demonstrated
ability to manage multiple projects and priorities - Excellent
conceptual, analytical and writing skills - Excellent
oral I written communication skills - Excellent
Report writing skills - Highly
proficient in English.
