About NHL:
Nakasero Hospital Limited (NHL) is a private hospital in Kampala that opened its doors to outpatient treatment in March 2009 and inpatient treatment, the same year. Our mission is to provide quality medical care to patients, to fill the gap which is created by lack of adequate medical facilities in the country.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage all Internal medicine referrals
- Run regular outpatient clinics in Internal Medicine
- Look after inpatients admitted under their care
- Actively collaborate with other Physicians in ensuring 24hr daily coverage of the Department
- Review consults coming from other clinical departments and advise the referring clinicians accordingly
- Oversee Medical officers, SHOs and other junior staff under their care
- Carry out regular chart and mortality audits and advise management on how to improve quality of care
- Coordinate CMEs in the department
- Coordinate Multidisciplinary meetings in the Department
- Develop plans for expansion of the services in the department and advise management accordingly.
- Ensure observance of ethical practice in the department
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- The ideal candidate must possess an MMED Internal Medicine or Equivalent from a Recognized University/College
- One year’s post qualification (MMED or equivalent).
- Must be in active clinical practice since qualification
- Possess excellent clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ready to multitask
- Ability to take leadership
