Assistant Superintendent of Prisons currently existing in the Uganda Prisons
Service as specified below:-
Responsibilities:
- Offer technical
assistance and advice on Mechanical Engineering services. - Supervising mechanical
works (new projects and maintenance works) to ensure compliance with
contractual specifications and time lines. - Preparing monthly and
quarterly reports for the Mechanical Unit. - Supervising and Building
capacity of staff in mechanical engineering. - Setting maintenance and
repair procedures for farm power
tools and implements, and machinery and other equipment such as air
conditioners, generators and water pumps. - Perform any other duties
as may be assigned from time to time.
Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must
be a Ugandan holding an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
from a recognized University or Institution. - Good working knowledge of
computer applications will be an added advantage.
