Job Summary: The NMS Systems
Administrator will primarily install and maintain working systems across the
enterprise as and when necessary, in line with the company’s ICT strategy.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Install, support and maintain servers or
other computer systems and associated peripheral systems. - Plan for and respond to service outages
and other problems. - Script or write applications or utilities
- Perform project management tasks for
systems related projects - Oversee and or train a team of computer
problems beyond the knowledge of technical support staff. - Advise on IT problems beyond the knowledge
of technical support staff. - Provides user support for desk top and
server based applications.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Systems
Administrator vacancy must possess an honour’s degree in any of the
following: Computer Science, Computer applications, Information Technology
or their equivalent. - Additional Professional Information
Technology Certifications such as Micro soft certified professional, Cisco
certified Network Associate (CCNA) or their equivalent will be an added
advantage - At least three years post qualification
experience - Past exposure and experience in installations,
upgrades, trouble shooting and repairing of computers and their associated
peripheral devices in multi-protocol network environment preferably a
large corporate. - Good understanding and familiarity of several
operating systems such as windows - Server 2003/2008, Windows XP/Vista/7,
Unix/ linux Directory, LDAP, etc. - Extensive knowledge and understanding of general
networking, Windows Active Directory
