International NGO Jobs – Field Administration/ Cashier at ACTED

About ACTED: 
ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) is a
non-political and non-confessional international NGO food security, health
promotion, economic development, education, microfinance, institutional support
and regional founded in 1993 and headquartered in Paris, France. ACTED’s
vocation is to save lives, assist vulnerable dialogue as well as cultural
promotion. For its programs in Northern Uganda, Karamoja and Kampala, ACTED is
looking populations and bring hope to those in need for a better future. ACTED
is active in 20 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Central
America and develops about 150 projects yearly in diversified activities such
as emergency relief, food security, economic development, health promotion,
education, microfinance, regional dialogue, institutional support as well as
cultural promotion.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Adhere to existing financial and
    administrative procedures and send all accounting documents to the Area
    Office.
  • Be accountable of his/her area
    accountancy;
  • Responsible for FLAT Management in the
    area level;
  • Follow-up the implementation of ACTED
    Uganda’s/Kenya’s human resource procedures;
  • Oversee the field based, housekeepers and
    cooks;
  • Process a few HR/Administration
    responsibilities.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must hold a good
    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Development studies,
    B.COM-(Option Accounting), or any other relevant fields. Professional
    qualification in CPA, ACCA, and ICSA is an added advantage.
  • At least three years’ experience in
    Administration and Finance activities.
  • Possess the ability to work in a complex
    environment, with short deadline
  • Excellent communication skills (both
    spoken and written) and ability to work closely with the community.
  • High degree of flexibility and
    adaptability
  • The person should be willing to travel
    within the region more than 70% of the time
  • The ideal candidates should exhibit high
    professionalism and confidence
  • Also be highly self-motivated, experienced
    and committed team players
  • Preferably, the candidates should be
    resident in the areas of the indicated duty stations
