ACTED is active in 20 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Central America and develops about 150 projects yearly in diversified activities such as emergency relief, food security, economic development, health promotion, education, microfinance, regional dialogue, institutional support as well as cultural promotion.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager will primarily supervise Project Cycle Management.
- He / she will also be responsible for drafting the Log frame in collaboration with the Reporting and Finance Departments
- The jobholder will also be playing a proactive role in the drafting and the follow up of the PMF (tracking the Indicator Collection Plans throughout program implementation, and following up on project progress and delays);
- Responsible for planning regular assessments: Appraisals, Monitoring and Evaluation missions; which should be executed either according to the Indicator Collection Plan (congruent with reporting deadlines) or following Coordination requests.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The most ideal candidate for the M&E Manager role should possess a University degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social sciences, demography, development studies.
- Four or more years’ experience in Programme Appraisal, Monitoring and Evaluation. Impartiality, objectivity and confidentiality are imperative; without prior authorization assessment reports should not be shared and kept within the AMEU unit;
- High degree of flexibility and adaptability are essential, as well as the ability to plan, take initiative and organize work independently.
- Good knowledge and understanding the nature of the work carried out by programs is necessary for ensuring the relevancy and usability of the reports produced.
- Therefore a proactive and self-motivated attitude towards gaining a good understanding of ACTED programs is essential;
- Possess a willingness to learn and capacity to innovate: the AME-MANAGER must be inventive and eager to improve his or her own skills, and be capable to adapt, shape and develop tools best suited for ACTED’s activities;
- The ideal candidates should exhibit high professionalism and confidence
- Also be highly self-motivated, experienced and committed team players
- Preferably, the candidates should be resident in the areas of the indicated duty stations
