Delivery Monitoring Unit (MHSDMU) is a key partner in implementation of the
DFID funded mTrac programme . MHSDMU’s role is to identify and follow up health
service delivery related concerns as reported by the public using the mTrac
anonymous hotline. The Unit is thus, seeking to recruit M&E and Data Entry
Officers on an eight month contract with support from UNICEF under this
initiative.
- Triangulate
all complaints generated by anonymous hotline and generate monthly
reports. - Develop
and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures. - Monitor
any inter-related project activities, expenditures and progress towards
achieving the unit’s strategic objectives. - Suggest
strategies to Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of
the initiative by identifying bottlenecks in completing the Unit’s activities
and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks. - Report
progress on all Unit activities to the Director. - Carry
out capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system - Develop
M&E tools for the Unit. - Offer
inputs, information and statistics for reports. - Actively
participate in quarterly and annual reviews and planning workshops and
assist the Director in preparing relevant reports. - Technically
support monitoring and evaluation of the initiative. - Support
staff with filling M&E tools and in supporting them in their use. - Perform
any other duties as required by the supervisor.
- The
M&E Officers should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Public
health or any other related field. - Possession
of a Diploma in M&E will be an added advantage. - At
least two years’ relevant experience in an M&E position in a busy
health-related field. - Relevant
skills in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis using
packages like EPINFO, STATA and SPSS. - Past
experience in developing M&E tools - Excellent
data interpretation skills, scientific report writing and presentation
skills - Excellent
interpersonal, verbal, communication and problem-solving skills - Experience
in concept and proposal writing will be an added advantage - Possess
the ability to multi task and meet deadlines.
