Assistant Superintendent of Prisons currently existing in the Uganda Prisons
Service as specified below:-
Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing
and maintaining Prisons Management Information System responsive to Service
needs. - Responsible for the maintenance
of Computer networks at various levels of the organization. - Designing, updating and
maintenance of various databases. - Conducting regular
hardware and software maintenance on the designed system and routine trouble
shooting. - Carrying out regular
systems audit and to determine information needs of the service and make
proposals to management for adoption and approval. - Designing ICT training
programmes for prisons staff; - Perform any other duties
as may be assigned from time to time.
Skills and Experience: The ideal candidates must be
Ugandans holding Honours Bachelor’s Degrees in Computer Science from recognized
Universities or Institutions.
