- Prepare the organization’s annual
accounts, payroll, periodic financial statements and cash flow projections
for the Board and Senior Managers; - Work closely with the project team with
regard to financial expenditure, monitoring and contract compliance; - Check all financial records to ensure
compliance with the CSF Project guidelines; - Maintain cash book for project
transactions; - Perform weekly and monthly cash count;
- Enter all transactions on spreadsheet on a
daily basis; - Compile and disseminate financial
information & reports such as checking correct coding, preparing
monthly payroll and obtaining opening monthly exchange rates; - Effectively liaise with the organization’s
auditors and ensure that they are provided with the necessary inputs; and - Assist the Senior Finance Manager in
developing and implementing financial procedures and controls for the
organization. - Perform any other duties and
responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Finance Manager.
- The Accounts Officer for the CSF Fund
should ideally hold a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related
field; - Additional Professional qualification in
Accounts, such as CPA (U), ACCA or equivalent; - At least three to five years’ accounting
experience with a reputable organization preferably a USAID project or
other similar donor funded project; - Good judgment in analyzing data and information;
- Excellent computer user skills especially
in MS Office packages, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access; - Good working knowledge of computerized
accounting systems; - Ability to prioritise, work under pressure
and meet deadlines; - Honesty and high level of integrity; and
- Possess the ability and a willingness to
maintain strong and good working relationships with the Grants team,
