television, radio broadcasting, commercial printing, advertising and
distribution services. NVPPCL is listed on the Uganda Stock Exchange, with an
expected turnover of over UGX 60 billion (FY 2010/2011).

- Originating, designing and producing TV
programme concepts both in the studio and on location - Actively participate in content gathering
and recording - Ensure the continuity of programmes by
initiating new programme ideas; gather information through research and
conducting interviews. - Work in tandem with the Video Editor to
ensure that the footage is edited and packaged in a coherent manner that
will result into a high quality TV programme. - Preview programmes to ensure that they
conform to the station’s standards. - Stay abreast with the TV trends locally
and internationally and to advise management and other team players on the
various packaging formats that will, from time to time best sell the TV
amongst its varied audiences and competitors. - Implement innovative ideas introduced from
time to time to keep the station competitive both to the audience and the
entire business clientele. - Ensure that new/fresh content is made
available for transmission at least 48 hours to the transmission time as
per schedule. - Adhere to the programme genre as agreed to
with the Station Manager/Senior Content Producer - Perform any other duties and
responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Producer.
- The TV Producer should
hold a bachelor’s degree in journalism. - Possession of a
Diploma with three years of relevant experience will also be considered. - Possess the ability to
translate written material into television script format - Ability to communicate
effectively both orally and in writing. - Ability to work
independently and meet frequent deadlines; - Ability to budget for
productions. - Highly flexible and
take on any other assignment as assigned by the Senior Producer. - Ability to multi-task
and handle all stages of production. - Ability to work under
minimum supervision - Ability to work
independently and meet deadlines
