Job Summary: The Specialist/Intelligent Networks Monitoring will
be charged with UCC’s technical operation and management of INMS and Monitoring
of Traffic carried by Telecom Operators’ Networks and Quality of Service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee Operation
and Maintenance of INMS including the Network Operations Centre(NOC) and
other associated systems; - Participate
in investigation of cases of INMS system abuse and misuse of Telecom
Operators’ Networks; - Coordinate
any hardware and software upgrades, updates and installations in the
Network Operations Centre; - Quality
of Service (QoS) monitoring. This will involve monitoring of both
international and domestic QoS KPIs of the Telecom Operators’ Networks; - Technical
System Process Management. Developing process improvement strategies and
software; - Duly prepare
technical documentation including providing information of Terminal
Identification and operating manuals, where appropriate; - Provide
IT system related support that is helpful in the detection of
International termination fraud; - Offer system
technical support in prepaid and postpaid billing verification; - Support
Verification of both incoming and outgoing international traffic; - Verification
of domestic traffic by all operators with the aim of having a one stop
centre for domestic traffic reconciliations, and; - Perform out
any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant who possesses a master’s Degree in Telecommunications
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Software
Engineering will have an added advantage; - Possession
of a good bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications
Engineering, or Information Technology or other related disciplines. - A minimum
of three (3) years’ experience in IT System Operations and Maintenance; - Prior
working knowledge of hardware & software architecture preferably a
certified business process analyst; - Exposure
and Knowledge of Linux, Javascript, HTML and SQL; - Good working
knowledge of connectivity technologies and information management; - Possess
the ability to prepare informative reports; and - Specific
relevant experience in Monitoring of Quality of Service. - Excellent
communications skills (written & verbal); - Excellent
interpersonal skills; - Strong
problem solving skills
