, a leading oil and gas downstream multinational company in Uganda, is
seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for an exciting
and challenging senior management role.



Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Offer guidance and direction in the
    implementation of the company policies in the Department.
  • Manage, plan and coordinate all matters HR,
    Administrative, and Legal strategies of the company.
  • Meet HR, Legal, Secretarial and Insurance
    requirements of the company.
  • Supervise, counsel, and train where
    appropriate, and appraise staff in the Department.
  • Control and approve expenses for the Department
    within limits of delegation set up by the Managing Director.
  • Coordinate implementation of management
    decisions relating to organising, appraising, developing, controlling all
    HR and Administrative matters of the company.
  • Coordinate the Sustainable Development policy
    and Action Plan of the Company.
  • Check the payroll monthly and related
    provisions, deductions and reconciliation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must possess a good university
    Degree in either Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Arts, Social
    Work and Social Administration or related field.
  • Five or more years’ work experience at senior
    management level.
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent conflict management and problem
    solving skills
  • Good negotiating skills 
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. working knowledge
    of Microsoft office 
  • Knowledge of performance management
  • Strategic thinking ability and skills
  • Conceptual thinking skills
  • High Leadership orientation.
  • Results orientation.
  • Ability to understand others.
  • Good team management orientation.
  • High concern for excellence standards.
