The Aga Khan University in conjunction with the Aga Khan Health Service
in Uganda invites applications for the vacancies above based in Kampala.

Job Summary: The Medical Laboratory Technologist will be
responsible for provision of effective, efficient, quality laboratory services
for the Aga Khan Health Service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive specimens for analysis and conduct
    tests as per client’s request;
  • Ensure cost-effective utilization of
    reagents;
  • Ensure all urgent and abnormal results are
    communicated to users;
  • Maintain accurate records of all conducted
    tests;
  • Actively participate in the implementation
    of quality control programmes;
  • Conduct routine and specialized analysis
    of tests as per approved procedures;
  • Prepare timely and accurate test reports.
  • Perform any other duties and
    responsibilities as assigned by Centre Manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The Medical Lab Technologists should hold
    a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized Institution.
  • At least five (5) years’ relevant
    experience
  • The incumbent must also be registered by
    the Allied Health Professional’s Council with a valid practicing license.
