Job Summary: The Technician will mainly be responsible for the
operation, repairs and maintenance of all Electro-mechanical and Electronic
installations of the Commission, acting as the contact for emergency situations
as well as assess and consider the security of the assets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make
certain that the maintenance and operation of the Electro-mechanical and
Electronic systems at all Commission infrastructures in line with the
Commission mission and applicable codes; - Monitor,
review and report on the activities of service providers and contractors
hired by UCC for electrical and electronic contracts’ works and services; - Ensure
that electrical safety codes and other associate regulations are in place
and adhered to; - Prepare
regular operational status reports on the electro-mechanical and
electronic systems and security in line with the departmental mission; and - The
applicant will be intuitively understanding and actively participating in
Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant must hold a Higher Diploma in Electrical and Electronics
Engineering; - The
candidate must possess five or more years’ experience in the related
field; and - Prior working
knowledge in managing High Voltage Power installations is an added
advantage. - Character
- Excellent
problem solving and analytical skills; - High
customer service orientation - Possess
the ability to work under pressure and mainly after-office-hours: and - Highly computer
literate;
