About QCIL: 
Quality Chemical Industries Ltd (QCIL)
is a pharmaceutical plant, producing anti-retroviral and anti-malarial drugs at
Luzira Industrial Park in Uganda. QCIL is a joint venture between Quality
Chemicals Ltd-a local drug distribution company and Cipla Ltd-a leading pharmaceutical
manufacturer from India.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Planning,
    Monitoring and controlling power plant operations, maintenance and
    documentation
  • Planning,
    Supervising of electrical projects; both in-house and by contractors
  • Planning,
    Supervising of calibration works and validation of electrical and
    electronic systems
  • Supervising
    optimum usage of power within the factory/ plant.
  • Interpreting
    and updating Single Line Diagrams (SLD) of the plant.
  • Planning
    and implementing continuous energy saving initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    Electrical Engineer should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical
    Engineering,
  • At least
    three years’ demonstrable experience in the field of electrical engineering
    in an industrial set up.
  • Good
    working knowledge in Electronics and instrumentation is an added
    advantage.
