Job Summary: The clinical nurse will be responsible for the
promotion and maintenance of high standards of professional nursing care to
meet the needs of patients and their families in all aspects of care. The nurse
will ensure that s/he maintains safe practice and a safe environment. S/he will
treat patients with dignity and ensure confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Aga Khan Clinical Nurse must possess
Diplomas from accredited School of Nursing - At least two years’ continuous clinical
nursing experience - Professional ATLS/ACLS/BLS/EPLS
certification or other unit based specific requirements; - Hold a certificate in Accident and
Emergency course (A&E); - Registration with the Uganda Nurses and
Midwives Council; - Possess the ability to transmit knowledge
and skills through patient education; - Competency in chosen area of clinical
practice with commitment to excellence in practice nursing; - High respect for and receptivity to other
cultures; - Excellent verbal and written communication
skills; - Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency
in Microsoft Office Applications
