Prevention (CDC)
–ACP
received funds to support a five-year Cooperative Agreement; (CoAg) with the
United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Cooperative
Agreement will support HIV prevention, care and treatment, policy development,
strategic information and the current National Laboratory Strategic Plan. The
MOH intends to use some of the resources under this assistance to support
several technical positions in support of the AIDS Control Program (ACP),
Central Public National-TB and Leprosy Program (NTLP) and other Cross-cutting
Health Systems Strengthening efforts at MoH to execute the central function of
policy formulation and monitoring implementation.
will technically support operation of the program M&E system focused
providing timely and relevant information to MoH and other stakeholders as and
when required.
- Supporting
in the development and implementation of M&E system including
identifying key indicators and designing data collection tools - Actively
participating in organizing regular sharing of M&E findings with program
staff, implementing partners and other stakeholders - Offering
training national and district stakeholders to effectively use data
collection and reporting tools - Supporting
analysis, review and compilation of progress reports - Participating
in design and implementation of baseline and end-line surveys - Participating
in data quality assessment for data quality assurance
- The
prospective CDC project applicant should preferably hold an MBChB or BDS
or BScN Degree or any other relevant Health related Degree from a
recognized University or Institution. - Possession
of a master’s Degree in Epidemiology or Epidemiology and Biostatistics or
MPH or Community Health or any other Health related Field. - The
applicant must possess a minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in
monitoring and evaluation of Health programs. - Extensive
knowledge and understanding of the national HIV and AIDS programme - Detailed understanding
of Monitoring and Evaluation techniques - Familiarity
with statistical data analysis packages such EPinfo, STATA - Good
familiarity with qualitative data collection and analysis techniques - Detailed knowledge
and understanding of strategic planning and understanding of the strategic
direction of MoH and of PEPFAR programmes, etc - Be a good
team player with excellent communication & writing skills
