natural disaster. Our community based programme in Uganda concentrates on Food
Security, Livelihoods/Economic Development, Vocational Training, Education and
WASH in close cooperation with local organizations and local government.
Advisor’s responsibility is to ensure a high quality programme design and
implementation as well as proper networking with all stakeholders. She/he will
provide major input in programme formulation and monitoring as well as the
development of project proposals for (potential) donors.
Offer leadership
and management support to programme staff in the formulation and implementation
of (multi) annual programme plans for the integrated and multi-sectoral
development plans in their specific geographic areas. These programmatic plans
should be relevant, timely, based on real and felt needs, build on local
capacities, promote community organisation and have innovative components.
Follow up on potentia) donors in coordination
with the Country Director.
Formulate and follow-up relevant donor proposals
in line with the agreed upon programme plans and country policy plan and
provide adequate support to line managers in this respect.
Maintain and monitor the quality of programme
implementation of all ZOA programmes through field visits, the formulation and
supervision of assessments as well as standard monitoring and evaluation.
Lend a hand in formulating surveys for all projects
and analyse the data and make adequate recommendations.
Ensure that that all project activities have a
positive and sustainable impact on the population by supporting a stakeholder
centred approach.
Monitor and guard the quality of quarterly and
annual plans and reports from the various programmes and support the Country
Director in the production of timely reports and plans.
Ensure timely production of high quality donor
reports
Provide additional project support as requested
by Programme Managers and Country Director.
Provide programmatic support to all partner
(I)NGO’s and other partner organisations
Provide input for ZOA worldwide knowledge
development.
Hold membership in the management team.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by
the supervisor.
- The applicant must possess a relevant master’s
degree preferably in a
humanitarian, development field - A minimum of four years’ field experience
in a development country, preferably in advisory or management position - Significant experience in staff and local
partner capacity building - Fluent command of English
- Competency in PCM
