Technicians will operate the press and auxiliary equipment property so as to
timely produce a quality product and attain the print order in the most cost
effective way for the MPL franchise.
Responsibilities:
- Operates the reel stands, the printing
press and auxiliary equipment - Ensures good quality materials are used on
the press. - Generates production reports
- Conducts minor maintenance of equipment
- Carries out press shutdown
- Performs any other duties as assigned by
the Press Team Leader - Perform any other key job tasks as
assigned by the Technical Manager.
Experience:
- The Press Technicians should possess
Uganda Certificate of Education (O Level) or equivalent Certificate in
printing technology - Two or more years’ experience, preferably
in a printing environment of a media house. - Very strong drive for results
- Excellent analytical and problem solving
skills - Excellent planning and organization skills
- Good report writing skills
- Possess the ability to follow through and
close issues - Willingness to work long hours
