newspapers, 93.3KFM, 90.4 Dembe FM, Nation Couriers and the Monitor Business
Directory.
Job Summary: The Press
Technicians will operate the press and auxiliary equipment property so as to
timely produce a quality product and attain the print order in the most cost
effective way for the MPL franchise.
Key Duties &
Responsibilities:
  • Operates the reel stands, the printing
    press and auxiliary equipment
  • Ensures good quality materials are used on
    the press.
  • Generates production reports
  • Conducts minor maintenance of equipment
  • Carries out press shutdown
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by
    the Press Team Leader
  • Perform any other key job tasks as
    assigned by the Technical Manager.
Qualifications, Skills &
Experience:
  • The Press Technicians should possess
    Uganda Certificate of Education (O Level) or equivalent Certificate in
    printing technology
  • Two or more years’ experience, preferably
    in a printing environment of a media house.
  • Very strong drive for results
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving
    skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Good report writing skills
  • Possess the ability to follow through and
    close issues
  • Willingness to work long hours
