Job Summary: The Network
Planning Manager was responsible for working in liaison with the market and business planning teams, network
design and build partners and the Network O&M partners and will be
responsible for planning network expansions and optimizing network Capex and
opex, developing network opex and Capex budgets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Defining the Network Plan for the Opco
cities/regional roll out with the Network Design and Build
partners/vendors. - Design and optimize network plan including
radio, transmission including metro, national and international traffic
backhaul and core network in consultation with the market planning team
and the Design and Build partners/vendors. - Traffic planning, traffic data analysis
and re-engineering of the network - Network Capex and opex budget preparation
- Offer technical support to Opco business
planning teams. - Participate in selection and appointment
of local vendors and contractors. - Provide technical support to business
development teams for regulatory lobbying and other related activity. - Defining and discussing interconnects with
other operators and engineers in the Pols as per the traffic needs - Perform any other adhoc duties assigned
from time to time by the CTO or any other person appointed by the company
for this purpose.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant must possess a bachelor’s
degree/higher diploma in Electronics / telecommunications engineering - A minimum of eight to ten years’ work
experience in wireless, Data Communication and VoIP Networks planning and
design, IP Transport Networks and/or Wireless Radio Networks. - Knowledge in Basic Telecoms, LTE/3g, IP
Transport Networks, VOIP, Internet, Data Communications Networks - Experience managing network operations in
an outsourced environment - VoIP and Data Communication Knowledge
- LTE Engineering Knowledge
- Knowledge of IET Protocols
- Radio and Transmission Rollout knowledge
- Significant experience in similar role or
deputizing supervisory experience - Training in planning tools
- Training in Drive Test Tools.
- Be a Self-starter
- Good interpersonal and communication
skills - Good Team ethic
- Ability to work odd hours
- Ability to travel
- Excellent negotiation skills
