About NCHE:
The National Council for Higher
Education (NCHE) was established under “The Universities and Other
Tertiary Institutions Act, 2001” for regulating and guiding the establishment
and management of institutions of higher learning, regulating the quality of
higher education, equating of qualifications and for advising government on
higher education issues.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the coordination of
activities of the Legal and Corporate Affairs section; - Assists in the planning and scheduling
of business activities of the Legal and Corporate Affairs in consultation
with the Senior Legal and Corporate Affair Officer; - Assists in coordinating the
dissemination of reports (number of court cases attended, won and lost
etc) for the attention of the Legal and Corporate Affairs Director, as
required by the mandate of the NCHE: - Assists in coordinating meetings with
the Legal and Corporate Affairs section - Carries out any other duties that may be
assigned from time to time by the superiors.
Expected Outputs:
- Unit budget reports;
- Work activity plans;
- Unit evaluation reports showing targets
achieved; - Documented developmental strategies;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Holds a Masters degree in Law from a
recognized university; - Must be a High Court Advocate with a
Diploma in Legal Practice from LDC - At least two years experience of legal
practice; - Must be ICT literate; 5. Must have good
communication and interpersonal skills; - Knowledge of Higher Education regulation
is desirable.
