About Us:
Our client, an International NGO, currently working in various
countries in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Eastern Europe, is looking for a
person to fill the position of Executive Director in their Kampala, Uganda
office. The individual will be expected to head the office and oversee its
staff and operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities;
- Take lead of the Secretariat of Uganda
- Facilitate the dialogue processes on
behalf of the Organization - Develop funding sources and proposals
- Oversee planning and implementation of
activities, monitoring and reporting - Oversee the overall administration of the
Secretariat
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ED should possess significant
experience in facilitating politically- sensitive and high-level dialogue
processes; With the ability to guide, steer and assist complex processes
in a neutral and facilitating (opposed to dominating or advocating)
manner; - Demonstrated ability to bring people
together and facilitate trust and relationship-building between different
stakeholders; - Excellent negotiation skills with the
ability to discern and facilitate areas of possible agreement during negotiations; - The successful candidate must be a team
builder able to work successfully in a multicultural environment with
strong writing and oral communication skills. - Possess high degree of integrity is
required with the ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality; - Demonstrated management capabilities and
experience; with good presentation skills - Possess highly outgoing personality;
- Highly adaptive and flexible with a
willingness to think outside the box and able to handle stressful
situations; - Not conspicuously aligned politically to
any Ugandan political party. - Prior experience working with politicians
will be a definite advantage - Good proposal writing and some research
experience will be an added advantage; - Ability to speak Luganda or Swahili will
be an added advantage
