About Us:
Enterprise Uganda (EUg), in
partnership with the Norwegian government is implementing the Strengthening
Women Entrepreneurs’ Project (SWEP II) in Northern Uganda. The 3-year project
(2013- 2016) seeks to economically empower 5,000 rural and semi-rural women in
Northern and Eastern Uganda (The Greater North) to become the main vehicle for
expanding production and productive capacity, increasing household income,
alleviating poverty and enhancing economic growth.

Job Summary: The
Internal Auditor will be responsible for planning, organizing and carrying out
audits spanning across the institutions. He will be responsible for
identification and management of organizational risks and ensure that the
organization achieves its objectives.:

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Identification
and Management of Organizational Risk: - Development
of Audit Systems: - Audit
Planning and implementation. - Liaison
with External Audit. - Reporting
on Policy, Programmes and Activities to both the finance and management
teams. - Monitoring
and Reporting of Economy, Efficiency and Effectiveness: - Measuring
compliance with the organisation’s policies and procedures; donor
requirements/agreements and relevant laws and regulations. - Investigate
occurrences of fraud, embezzlement, theft, waste and recommend controls to
prevent or detect such occurrences.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Internal Auditor should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics
or Commerce - Qualified
Accountant with either ACCA or CPA. - Membership
with Institute of Internal Auditors will be an added advantage. - A
minimum of three years’ experience with a donor funded project will be an
added advantage. - Good
interpersonal skills and computer knowledge.
