for Poverty Action (IPA), is an international non-profit research organization.
Based in New Haven, CT, with offices in Washington, D.C. and worldwide, IPA
works with development partners and academic researchers to create and evaluate
approaches to solving development problems, to communicate “what works” in
development and to scale up successful projects in a variety of fields,
including health, education, microfinance, governance and agriculture.
Framing Cash Grants project, a study testing different types of unconditional
cash transfer disbursement to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. The intern
will be mainly responsible for the oversight of the midline data collection and
implementation of the intervention in the Soroti and Serere districts, with a
heavy focus on data management and cleaning. The intern may also participate in
subsequent data cleaning and analysis. The internship will primarily be based
in Soroti town, with occasional travel to Kampala and Serere. Good
understanding of cash transfers or HIV/AIDS is required.
