About Us:
The Kalangala Infrastructure
Services Project consists of the ownership, financing, upgrade, construction,
operation and maintenance of two roll-on roll-off passenger and vehicle
ferries, the upgrade of the island’s 66km main road from a dirt road to a
gravel road, a series of solar-powered pump based water supply systems, along
with the Kalangala Renewables Project in each case to serve the population,
institutions and businesses of Bugala Island, Kalangala District, Uganda.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- The
Electrical Manager will be responsible for system monitoring ie
Transmission system and troubleshooting any problems that may occur with
the power plant. - Required
to stay abreast of the Engineering and technology advances in terms of
cost saving and services. - Ensure
proper and full functioning and maintenance of electricity transmission
and distribution system. - Manage
the electrical aspects of both the ferry and the power plant. - Manage
all the electrical wiring of all the three projects components. - Manage
all field operations related to the electrical department. - Manage
safety procedures of the power plant. - Manage
and supervise the staff in the department.
- Perform
any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Electrical Manager must hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in relevant
field i.e. Electrical Engineering - A
minimum of three to five years’ experience in managing projects.
